Good-bye

Our time together has come to an end. I hope you have enjoyed reading about my family’s animals. Perhaps you didn’t know that these stories are about real animals! But they are, although each thing didn’t happen exactly as I described it. Also, I have changed the names of all the people.

At the time of writing these tales, Franky and Pippi are two and a half years old. Bobby is ten and a half, and Pixie is nearly two. They live together happily. Every morning Bobby and Pixie romp in the yard. They leap and play, pretending to fight. They have a grand time. Then they flop down in the sun to rest. But they never rest for long. There is always an interesting sound to explore, or a bird to chase, or a distant bark to answer.

Franky and Pippi are still at their little games. At this very minute, Franky is carefully balanced on the arm of a wooden chair, taking his nap. Pippi is playing with a little piece of plastic she dug out of the trash. Our family was given a lovely bouquet of roses two days ago. We are keeping it where Franky can’t get to it. Otherwise, it won’t last long.

It has been fun for me to write down these little tales about the lives of my family’s animals, and to share them with you. If you have your own animals, you might enjoy telling about them too – in stories or pictures. You could make your own special animal book about the animals you love the best!

And now, Franky, Pippi, Bobby and Pixie and I all bid you farewell and wish you the very best in your learning adventures.
