A little boy lived in this house.
(Make a fist with the right hand with thumb inside)
A little girl lived in this house.
(Make a fist with the left hand with thumb inside)
The little boy came out of his house.
(Bring the right thumb out)
He looked up and down the street.
(Move the right thumb back and forth slowly)
He didn’t see anybody, so he went back inside his house.
(Hide thumb again)
The little girl came out of her house.
(Bring the left thumb out)
She looked up and down the street.
(Move the left thumb back and forth slowly)
She didn’t see anybody, so she went back inside her house.
(Hide thumb again)
Then the little boy came out of his house again.
(Bring the right thumb out)
He looked up and down the street and all around.
(Move the right thumb back and forth slowly,
and wiggle it all around)
Then the little girl came out of her house again.
(Bring the left thumb out)
She looked up and down the street and all around.
(Move the left thumb back and forth slowly,
and wiggle it all around)
They saw each other.
(Point the thumbs at each other)
They walked across the street and shook hands.
(Touch the thumbs together)
They played together all through the day.
(Make the thumbs dance and play)
Then the little boy went back into his house.
(Hide the right thumb again)
And the little girl went back into her house.
(Hide the left thumb again)
