I’m a Little Teapot
I’m a little teapot,
(Put right hand on hip, left hand extended with palm up)
Short and stout.
(Bounce gently up and down, flexing knees)
Here is my handle,
(Lift right hand from hip and replace it, showing the handle)
And here is my spout.
(Extend left hand further and return to original
extension, indicating the spout)
When I get all steamed up,
Then I shout —
“Tip me over and pour me out!”
(Bend to the left, “pouring” out the tea)
I’m a very clever teapot, it is true!
(Put right hand on hip, left hand extended with palm up)
Here’s an example of what I can do.
(Bounce gently up and down, flexing knees)
I can change my handle and change my spout.
(Switch right and left hands, changing sides
for the spout and handle)
Just tip me over and pour me out!
(Bend to the right, “pouring” out the tea)
