1. What is a vignette?

4. Do you think modeling is a useful technique for a beginning writer? Why or why not? 



5. Each day for five days, cluster a word and write a vignette from your cluster. Your vignettes should be at least 300 words. They can be in the form of a poem, a short story, or a song, as long as they fit the criteria for a vignette. Here are some ideas for words to use. Feel free to choose your own:
