2011 Fall Open House
In the Fall and Spring, Oak Meadow opens its doors in celebration of homeschooling. We welcome a broad range of families, whether enrolled in our school, using our curriculum, or exploring Oak Meadow for the first time. Many families travel a great distance to attend, turning their visit into a Vermont get-away.
This October, we had our busiest Open House yet. Families connected with our K-12 faculty, browsed our library of curriculum and materials, enjoyed our Student Art Show, and participated in crafts coordinated by our art faculty.
Middle school and high school students Skyped with their peers in Morocco, Costa Rica, Turkey, Italy, and Honduras while younger visitors painted a giant wall mural, and ran up and down the hallways of the light-filled converted warehouse that is home to our offices.
Our semi-annual Open House is just one of many ways that our families have come to appreciate the easy accessibility to our teachers and staff, the personalized attention, and the warm support that is Oak Meadow. For example:
