Heifers Parade
Join us at the World-Famous Strolling of the Heifers Parade in Brattleboro, Vermont
—Voted one of Vermont’s Top Ten Summer Events.

Oak Meadow will be walking in the Strolling of the Heifers Parade and we want you to come along! (You don't need to be a current Oak Meadow family to join the fun--we welcome all who support homeschooling!)
Homeschooling families with children of all ages will be joining our faculty and staff as we walk with the parade down Brattleboro's historic Main Street on Saturday, June 2. We will provide homemade pinwheels to carry and lots of good cheer as we celebrate the joy of learning at home.
Also in the parade will be scores of lovable heifer calves, future farmers, local schools and organizations, bands, tractors, floats, clowns, and more. When it's over, we'll follow the crowd to an all-day, 11-acre Live Green Expo for food, entertainment and exhibits. It all happens in Brattleboro, Vermont--recently designated "One of America's 20 Best Small Towns" by Smithsonian magazine.
Please meet at the Transportation Center, Flat Street, Brattleboro at 9:00 am on Saturday, June 2. We will be walking from there to our staging area at 9:20 am. Flat Street will be closed to parking, so please allow yourself enough time!
We also invite you to join the Oak Meadow staff for a special Craft Making Session in which we will make the pinwheels for the parade. Join us at our Oak Meadow office, Wednesday, May 16 from 3-5pm.
For more information on the parade and other weekend activities, visit: www.strollingoftheheifers.com For more information on walking with Oak Meadow in the parade, or the Craft Making Session, call 802-251-7250.
P.S. Mark your calender! Come and meet our faculty and staff at our upcoming annual Fall Open House. Join us on Saturday, October 6, from 11-1 at our office in Brattleboro, Vermont. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet teachers, view curriculum, connect with other homeschoolers, and enjoy Vermont in Autumn.
