Individualized Education Program (IEP) - This is a curriculum developed to meet your child's specific needs, through a phone consultation with an Oak Meadow curriculum counselor. An IEP is not necessary for most students. Oak Meadow printed or online curricula are designed to accommodate a wide range of student abilities and learning styles, and most student's needs can be met within the context of a standard curriculum without requiring an IEP. For example, if your child ready for the fifth grade curriculum, but her math skills are at a sixth grade level, you can simply order a fifth grade package and indicate that you want to substitute sixth grade math. An IEP, however, is intended for students whose backgrounds, abilities or learning styles are such that a simple substitution of grade levels and subjects is not sufficient. IEP's are appropriate for students working significantly below grade level, as well as those working significantly above grade level. You must be enrolled to sign up for the IEP program. Please call the office to arrange a consultation.
