Most parents of enrolled students prefer to work with an Oak Meadow teacher, who provides support and guidance throughout the learning process. If you feel that you don't need the premium or standard teacher support options, but you do want all the other benefits of school enrollment, a Portfolio Enrollment is for you. With this option, parents are responsible for all student support, including providing instructional assistance, evaluating all papers and tests, organizing the student's work into a portfolio of completed work, and completing a parent evaluation report to be sent to a teacher with the portfolio. The teacher evaluates the student's work and completes a grade report to be entered into the student's school records.
Portfolio Enrollment consists of three fees:
- Enrollment Fee $300 per student. This provides school enrollment for one calendar year, including transfer of school records, communication with local school officials (if necessary). In addition, you receive a copy of Living and Learning and an introductory audio tape.
- Curriculum Fees These vary by grade level.
Note: When you complete and return the enrollment form, we do not automatically order a curriculum for you. You must order the curriculum separately.
- Evaluation Fee This fee is paid when you return your child's portfolio of work for evaluation.
- Grades K-4: $100 per student
- Grades 5-8: $150 per student
- Grades 9-12: Not available
Note: Teacher Fees do not include return postage costs. Teachers will bill for postage fees. Parents living outside the U.S. will be billed for a deposit of $50 and rebilled as necessary.
