Health

As an Oak Meadow alumnus, I look forward to working with Oak Meadow students of today. I believe that both health and physical fitness are cornerstones of one's quality of life. They are a foundation upon which many other things can be built. Home schooled students have an amazing opportunity to achieve a fit mind and body.
I graduated from Virginia Tech in the millennium year of 2000, where as a student I earned a 5 month internship at the US Olympic Center in Colorado Springs. I became a certified personal trainer and group exercise instructor before earning my bachelors degree in 2000. I was once 90 lbs over weight as a teenager, but now teach exercise classes and am a personal trainer for individuals in New York City. I encourage all of my clients to make fitness a part of their daily lives.
I stay involved in a number of other activities including speaking to high school seniors about life choices, speaking to local corporate groups about health and fitness, organizing and participating in charity events with World Team Sports and traveling!
I look very forward to helping Oak Meadow students understand the benefits of and learn about health and wellness.
