Work Submission Policy

Lessons will be submitted to your teacher on a regular basis using your OM email account, per the following:

  • Grades K - 4: Four lessons for each subject to be completed and submitted to the teacher every four weeks.
  • Grades 5 - 12: Two lessons for each subject to be completed and submitted to the teacher every two weeks.

Withdrawal and Refund Policies

Oak Meadow offers a 30-day evaluation period for grades 5-12, and a 60-day evaluation period for Grades K-4 to assure the distance learning experience is right for your family. The evaluation period begins on your start date. Families withdrawing before their course start date or within the evaluation period will be eligible for a refund or credit of 80% of the teaching fee costs and the full cost of the books if they are returned in like-new condition. Students may still withdraw from Oak Meadow School after the evaluation period; however, refunds will not be issued after the 30- or 60-day evaluation period has passed. If your family is using the FACTS payment plan and you withdraw after the evaluation period, you will still be responsible for all outstanding payments.

Start Date Policy

Your start date is the beginning of your 10-month enrollment period. This date can be found on your Oak Meadow welcome letter and your Official Certificate of Enrollment, both of which are located in the OM Gateway. If you need to change your start date, please contact your educational counselor. Prior to your original start date, you may change once at no cost, and for $75 thereafter. Any changes made on or after the start date will incur a $300 charge and can only be done once, within 30 days of the original start date, if no work has been submitted.

Oak Meadow Email Account

Students and families are required to sign up for an Oak Meadow email through Google Workspace. Students and families are required to use their Oak Meadow email account to communicate with their teacher and submit lessons.

  • Grades K-6: Parent or home teachers are assigned an OM email / Google workspace account.
  • Grades 7-12: Students are assigned an OM email/ Google workspace account.

OM Gateway Account: Families and students are provided with an OM Gateway account. This portal allows both parents and students to view information about courses, school events, school policies.
