The Portfolio Evaluation Program is available to independent users with students in grades k-4. Available by the semester (fall or spring) or the full year, the program includes a one-hour consultation with an Oak Meadow teacher at the beginning of each semester, a review of selected assignments at the end of each semester, and a comprehensive narrative evaluation upon completion. For families who would like support without enrollment, this is a way to get valuable assistance from an experienced teacher at important check points throughout the year.
Please note: this program is for independent curriculum users and is not accredited through Oak Meadow School.
Here’s how the program works:
- After you purchase your curriculum and the Portfolio Evaluation Program in our shop, you will receive a form asking for relevant information about your student. Our K-8 director will review the form and contact you with your teacher assignment.
- Within 10 business days of your purchase, you will receive a welcome letter from your Oak Meadow teacher with her or his contact information and portfolio submission guidelines.
- As the home teacher, you are responsible for instruction, grading, completing the assessment forms, and organizing the student’s work into a portfolio of completed lessons.
